Promoting Hellenism Since 1922

For nearly a 100 years, we have promoted the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism. ”

AHEPA National History

Founded in 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, on the principles that undergirded its fight for civil rights and against discrimination, bigotry, and hatred felt at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan, AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.

Worthington Chapter History

Founded one year after the national organization was established, the Worthington Chapter has been striving to embody the four pillars of the AHEPA mission of promoting ‘Hellenism’.

The Greek Independence Day parade in Baltimore’s Greek Town around the 25th of March each year is a special occasion for our Chapter, since we helped establish the parade many years ago. We have also been combining our Brothers with the Lord Baltimore Chapter Brothers and march in a place of honor, just before the Evzones that end the parade.
